It seems like you're moving XML-RPC into SOAP in a manner that's going to break a lot of existing XML-RPC processors, so I'm not sure I see any real gain here.


It is certainly interesting that SOAP proponents seem to keep suggesting gluing their envelopes to other people's message formats on a regular basis, but it's hard to see that as an encouraging trend.

    I misunderstood; I thought Sam was proposing the message format be SOAP. So, I was wrong there, but right here. :)


    I can appreciate that you don't think a universal extensible XML-based messaging format is a good thing. Oh well, Horatio ...
