So is the CD analogy accurate, loosely accurate, or totally incorrect in this case? I'm not a programmer, just a marketing guy who's trying to get proper perspective on our company's technology.


I understand the CD analogy, but some are saying it's way off base. As an outside department that just needs a bird's-eye view of the technology, does the any-CD to any-player analogy appropriately describe web services?
