 SOAP 1.2
Subject: Faults and REST
Date: 2003-06-11 04:00:30
From: Mark Baker

One other thing ... SOAP faults will still be sent as HTTP errors, as they should. SOAP 0.9 & 1.0 messed that up, since they assumed a layered relationship between SOAP and HTTP rather than that of an extension. SOAP 1.1 got that right, but SOAP 1.2 is more flexible and visible to deployed HTTP infrastructure.

You're right; I misread my notes. I should have explained that now there are two HTTP status codes, 400 and 500. Not 500 and 200. :)
